Frequently asked questions
Do you offer in-person sessions?
At this time, only telehealth appointments are available for individual counseling. I am on the lookout for office space in order to provide in-person appointments in the future that will be located in the Granbury, Texas area.
However, company trainings, speaking engagements, and critical incident debriefings can be offered at your place of business or the location of your choice.
How does online therapy work?
Online therapy utilizes a secure internet connection that fully complies with HIPAA regulations, ensuring that your privacy and confidentiality are protected throughout your sessions. Simply click the link you receive on your computer or phone, and you will be seamlessly connected to your therapist in just moments. Additionally, don’t forget that it's important to find a quiet, private location where you can speak openly and freely, without interruptions or distractions, allowing for a more effective therapeutic experience. A great benefit of online therapy is that you can receive services from wherever you are with no traffic, travel expense, or drive time.
Do you accept insurance?
Sage Mood Counseling PLLC is currently In Network with BCBS TX, Aetna & Cigna, as well as the virtual networks of Horizon BCBS of New Jersey and BCBS of Massachusetts. The credentialing process with United, Oscar, Magellan, and Oxford is still underway and coming soon! I strongly believe that mental health care should be affordable and accessible through your health insurance and am diligently working towards being able to accept a wide variety of insurance. Until that time, cash pay rates are available as well.
What are your cash pay fees?
A 50-minute individual counseling session is offered at a fee of $130. For individuals who can demonstrate financial need, there is a lower fee available on a sliding scale that can be discussed directly with me, ensuring that everyone has access to necessary mental health support. Additionally, super bills can be provided for submission to your insurance company, allowing you to potentially receive reimbursement for the session through your out-of-network benefits. This way, you can manage the costs associated with your care more effectively.
For workplace training, speaking engagements, or critical incident debriefing please contact me to discuss your needs and pricing.
What is your cancellation policy?
Everyone’s time is valuable, therefore, a fee of $75 will be charged for appointments that are cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled time. Exceptions will, of course, be made for unforeseen emergencies that arise unexpectedly. If a client cancels 3 times within 24 hours, the ability to schedule future appointments may be restricted.
Do you offer psychological testing or medications?
I do not prescribe medications or offer psychological testing.
